Beta Server - Test your builds easy!!!

ROT BETA / PROD-2 is now online. It is currently a direct clone of production, but as we are testing out new content it will be added there first for the beta testers, etc.

Direct Connect Server Address : server.realmsoftrinity.com:6551 Password: betatester

This server does not use the Autodownloader, so you must make sure that you connect to the production/live server and get all the necessary files before you connect to beta.

In addition:

Make sure that you download the latest beta patches and place the contents in the correct folders in your Mydocs\Neverwinter Nights 2 folder before connecting to beta.

The location will remain the same for them and there will not be a file there if no patches are needed.

All players will get tons of shards, banked XP, and banked gold for testing, build testing, and whatever else you got up your sleeve.

I've been trying for a couple weeks, and never connected to the test server. I hope this is still a thing, nwn2db building doesn't show you whether a build *works* here or not. ...and thats when nwn2db can actually build the character at all, it doesn't seem to allow certain class requirements (such as spell focus : enchantment for Heartwarder).

We dont't have beata up all the time. Players didn't use it so we load it only if we test new things.

Is there any way we could somehow download a RoT module or something to test builds on our own rather than keep the server up ?

I have been away a couple months and want to swap some of my characters around - but I wanna test them out first

No there really isn't with the way our product is architected. I will put the beta server in permanent up mode starting today. There is no reason not to.

I had a similar issue. Though I was able to port to Cormyr.

Sounds like one server instance (primary) wasn't loaded properly or crashed. Happens from time to time.

I just rebooted beta. I will log in and check it out once it come back up.
