iron planes hellfire golem

or whatever these things are called (hellfire engines/machines......something like that). I can't do any damage to them and they regen like crazy. any tips? I'm a swiftblade gish who has divine and positive damage on weapons.

Oh, no... they work on any Construct you encounter after that point... quite nicely, too!

Also, K's orb works well if you can make the ranged touch attack.

they always save, plus gishes aren't good casters. do they have any elemental or magical weakness? they block my divine and positive damage and the guy won't let me through to the next level until I kill them. I need to team up with a warlock or something, tenacious plague kills them in about 2 rounds.

Something with acid maybe? I don't remember but I'm pretty sure that there's a damage type that they're vulnerable to.

If nothing else works, have a druid/shaman make you some wands of quillfire. I always keep a couple handy even on my level 40 sorcerer just because sometimes they are the only thing that works.

Quillfire kind of has that going for it, it seems to hit anything.

someone was nice enough to get me past them using K's sonic orb. I didn't know it scaled with ER like the regular orb did. anyway, thank you and I strolled through the rest of the first campaign with ease.
